[Chaos-l] Cub Scout Day Camp

Thanks for your email, Amy.
We have not been able to do observing events like this in the past 
because of funding. I would love for that to change.
My boss is out of town this week and I'll be teaching out of town next 
week. When we are both back at work we can talk about this.

I see that you are in Hillsborough. Let me offer you two quick options.
1) We are hosting an observing session at Little River Regional Park 
next Friday, Oct. 24, from 7 -9 pm.

You would be welcome to come, to bring the scouts or just to meet and 
talk and enjoy the sky.
If weather is uncooperative on Friday, we'll try again on Saturday.
We do this at Little River twice a year.

2) The Chapel Hill Astronomy Club (CHAOS) has several members in 
Hillsborough who like to share their love of stars with the public. They 
help with our observing sessions and they would be likely to help with 
yours. Contact them at Chaos-l at rtpnet.org
Some of them will be at Little River.

Let's stay in touch and make sure we have something that will work for 
your scouts.
