[Chaos-l] Friday's Observng

Friday's observing session with the Montessori Children's House of Durham was huge success. There were about 30 children and their parents. We looked at Jupiter through the newly refurbished CHAOS telescope and it performed well for everyone. I really like the fact that the main tube rotates so that the children can look through it. One of the parents managed the 6 inch Dobsonian so that the group could look at the Moon which washed out the sky. We talked about the constellations in the sky and we saw several shooting stars. Everyone, young and old had an informative and fun time.
