[Chaos-l] Possible (But Unlikely?) Mini Star Party At Medoc Mtn State Park

Everyone,

I've been trying to organize a mini star party (for us and some folks we 
met at MASP) at Medoc Mountain State Park near Hollister, NC.    The 
plans are for Friday and Saturday night of this week, but the weather is 
looking like it might not work.   If it happens to clear, come join 
us!   It's about 1 3/4 hours from here, there are campsites with water 
and power, and (this is the best thing), the light pollution is very 
minimal (blue on the light pollution map related to the Clear Sky 
Clock).   The park closes at 6 PM, so you would need to be there by then 
to get in to the camping area, since they close up the gates into the 
park at that time.

If this weekend doesn't work, we might be able to schedule a makeup date 
the first weekend of January (2-3).   Stay tuned for more information.
