Speaking of impromptu observing, I noticed that our Jordan Lake permit goes
thru early January 2009.

Am I reading it right? I have only been there briefly on a few occassions,
but it has provided me some wonderful miky way moments under a much better
sky than Durham near I40. And only less than half an hour away.
