Predicted conditions look moderately favorable for the Morehead/CHAOS public observing session tonight, 5:30-7:30pm. Clear Sky Cart predicts very little in the way of cloud cover, with light breezes and average seeing conditions. Predicted transparency will be "below average," but that should only adversely affect the viewing of fainter objects (nebulae).
Brighter objects include a near-quarter Moon, roughly quarter-phase Venus, and both Jupiter and Mercury very low in the southwest (if atmospheric conditions near the horizon permit visibility).
CHAOS-ers -- feel free to join in at Ebenezer this evening!
Thanks!
