[Chaos-l] Facilities at Medoc Mountain State Park

I wrote something that was confusing in my previous post ...

The gate is locked at 6 PM in the winter, and locked at 8 PM in the 
spring and fall, and at 9 PM from June to August.   The gate is unlocked 
at 8 AM all year.

there, as well as an explanation of the fees (for camping) and and hours 
of operation.   There is also a page for forms and permits (just to tie 
this to the other discussion we are having) and I've been told by Allen 
that if CHAOS members visited without him being there, it might be best 
to get a special-use permit for our group from the ranger or park 
superintendent.   The main reason for this is not to limit who can go 
there to observe ... instead, there is a clause on the permit releasing 
the park and state from liability in case something happens.   Again ... 
the litigious society.   Since I've always been there with Allen, I'm 
covered under his permit.

But if you go there and camp, you would not need the permit.  You've 
paid to use the park, and you can observe however you like.
