Our Speaker for February will be Dr. Gerald Watson. 

Brief Bio and Speaker Intro 

Dr. Gerald (Jerry) Watson retired as an Associate Professor of Meteorology at North Carolina State University in 1999. There he had taught undergraduate and graduate Meteorology courses for 28 years in the Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences. Jerry has been an amateur astronomer for nearly 60 years. Jerry has been a member of the Raleigh Astronomy Club for some 30 years, during which time he served as an officer on several occasions. 







Jerry’s talk, “Alternative Atmospheres – Intriguing Meteorology of Other Planets,” results from his fascination with the sciences of Meteorology and Planetary Astronomy. 





Come and join us on February 10th at 7pm. We meet at the Carol Woods Retirement community in the Assembly Hall.
