An event you may be interested in attending this week:

"The Space Race of 1609--Galileo, Thomas Harriot, and the Invention of 
the Telescope"
Morehead Planetarium and Science Center is partnering with East Carolina 
University to celebrate the achievements of a great 17th century 
scientist April 1–4 with the Thomas Harriot Quadricentennial Conference. 
Events at Morehead will be during the afternoon/evening of Wednesday, 
April 1 and include lectures and panel discussions with experts in the 
field, including Owen Gingerich.
