Hello everyone,

As Walter noted, yesterday was not our meeting day but next Tuesday is.

This meeting is very important in that we will be electing officers for the club.

If you are interested in holding an office in the club. Let me know. The offices

that are elected are as follows;

   President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

Come on out and let your vote be heard.

We have a very special speaker from Duke University.

Kate Scholberg, "Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Associate Professor of Physics",

is coming to talk to us about the SuperNova Early Warning System. (SNEWS)

Kate will tell us how the blast of neutrinos from the core of a collapsing
star can be seen in detectors worldwide, and how the SNEWS
international network will provide an early warning
of a spectacular supernova.  Given a SNEWS alert, amateur astronomers may
be able to first pinpoint the supernova.

Come and join us on April 14th at 7pm for your club meeting

Jayme
