Hi all. As previously said, the 2009 CHAOS Astronomy Day celebration
will be on May 2nd. Based on the message from Ranger McMurray at Jordan
Lake, i believe it's a better than 60% likelihood that the event will be
held at Ebenezer Church Recreation Area. Although the details are still
to be worked out, i'm planning on daytime activities from 4-dusk, then
observing until 9:30 or 10pm.

Here's a list of the activities i'd previously mentioned. If you are
able to commit to help out with one of these activities, or you have a
different astro-related activity you'd like to lead, please e-mail me or
the list so we can start putting together a schedule of events.

It would also be helpful if people could volunteer to produce a couple
of hand-outs for distribution at the park. I was thinking of star-party
etiquette (use of lights, how to look through other people's scopes,
etc), constellation charts, and possibly info on the moon/planets/deep
sky objects we're likely to show folks.
