We'll have our monthly imaging meeting on Friday, May 1st at 7pm.

Dr. Dan Reichart with Kevin Ivarsen and Josh Haislip will be presenting 
"Opening the Heavens to Everyone Everywhere".


They will summarize the progress that they have made with the Skynet 
Robotic Telescope Network over the past three years and  their plans for 
the future. These plans include "Afterglow", which is web-based image 
reduction and analysis software that is easy enough for middle schoolers 
and members of the general public to use but at the same time matched to 
IRAF, so professionals and their students can use it too.  They will 
also present "YourSkies.com", which is a website that we are developing 
that we hope will become the home for interactive astronomy on the web, 
simultaneously (1) opening Skynet's professional-quality telescopes to 
everyone everywhere and (2) funding maintenance of and improvements to 
Skynet's telescope owner's hardware and software.


The meeting will start promptly at 7pm with current events and any group 
business. The presentation will start at 7:15pm with dinner following 
the Q & A session of the presentation.
