[Chaos-l] Upcoming observing opportunities

Next Saturday night, July 25, is the regular monthly Morehead observing 
session at Jordan Lake's Ebenezer Church Recreation Area, from 9 - 11.

In August our monthly session will be held on *Wednesday, August 12,* 
from 9 - 11, at Jordan Lake - for the Perseid Meteor Shower.

We hope to see CHAOS members at both of these observing sessions.

The night before the Perseids, August 11, there will be a Boy Scout 
Troop visiting Morehead to do astronomy badge work. They will come early 
(about 7:30) to have a chance to meet telescopes and binoculars in the 
daylight, then go into the Star Theater for a program, and follow the 
program with telescopic viewing at the sundial afterwards - weather 
permitting. We would love to have some help from CHAOS members for this. 
I realize that is a regular meeting night for CHAOS, but if you're 
interested, get in touch with me and we will plan further as the time 
approaches.
