Jeff,
In my opinion (and I've been to MASP for a number of years) it would
work perfectly. The event is actually very family-friendly (everyone
has their clothes on ... except Mark South ... no drinking around
thousands or millions of dollars of optical equipment) and there are
nights when the public (mostly from around Robbins) comes in and various
people let them see things through their scopes. It might be that
there is "noise" late in the evening or at night, but mostly that is the
hum of computers and mounts with the occasional "whoa" from people who
see a meteor.
I think it would be a great experience for your daughter.
