Thanks to Jayme for bringing up Astronomy Days. This popular event is held
yearly at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh and CHAOS members are
needed to create presentations and to man tables throughout the weekend
event. It's a lot of fun and "puts a face or faces" on amateur astronomy in
general and the CHAOS club in particular. There are lots of kids and this
is our opportunity and draw them into our hobby. This year's event is on
Sat. Jan 30 and Sun. Jan 31. Please contact me if you have an idea for a
presentation (e.g. poster, photos, demonstration, brainteasers, etc) or if
you can help us man our tables during the weekend. We usually divide it up
into 3-4 hrs shifts and try to get at least 2 CHAOS members per shift so
everyone will have a chance to look at all the other exhibits. It's well
worth a look. Thanks. Walter
