Hi Tony, Welcome to the Club. If you would give us the address of the school, I'm sure we can manage to get some one out there. If my schedule is clear, I'll bring one of the club's telescopes. I'd love to spark a child's   interest into the sciences. I hope to meet you at the meeting in January.

Subject: [Chaos-l] looking for a volunteer with a telescope

I'm a new member of Chaos.  My first meeting was the last one in
December and I've been to a number of the sky watching sessions at
Lake Jordan over the past few months.  I'm looking forward to
participating with club meetings events in the future.

I'm organizing the science fair at my son's school (Salem Elementary
in Apex) on January 21.  I'm looking for a volunteer who could bring a
telescope (weather permitting of course), to share with the kids that
evening for an hour or so.  Any club members in the Cary / Apex area
able to help out?

Thanks,
Tony
