All planets run along the ecliptic, the same path through the sky that
the sun takes.  Rising in the east and setting in the west.

Assuming skies clear, saturn will rise in the east at 9:18 pm but if
you wait until just after 10pm, it should be about 10 degrees above
the horizon and much easier to see over trees and houses.  If you hold
your outstretched first with your thumb on top (tucked in), that's
about 10 degrees.

Also look for mars at 10pm it will be 23 degrees above the horizon.
Using that same outstretched arm spread your fingers out with your
thumb tip on the horizon, your pinky will be at about 25 degrees.

Print out a star chart when you go out tonight and see what else you
can observe:
