[Chaos-l] Astronomical Goings On This Week

Everyone,

We have an outreach opportunity this week ... at Efland Cheeks 
Elementary in Orange county (just north of I-40/85).   I'm not really 
sure how it is going to work, since with the time change it doesn't get 
dark until after 7:30 now ... but it will be from 6:30 until 8:30 on 
Thursday night.   I plan on being there, and I think Jayme will join me 
... but if there are any others out there that would like to show kids 
your scope (and possibly something in the evening sky) and spark their 
interest in astronomy, feel free to join us!

Also, the weather forecast for this weekend is looking good ... and I 
plan on a traveling over to Medoc Mountain State Park on Friday night 
for possibly a full night of observing.  Anyone want to join me?  The 
good thing is that on March 1st, the gate to the park stays open until 8 
PM now ... making it easier to get over there after work.   The Virgo 
and Coma galaxies are calling ...
