Hi all. So far, the forecast for this Friday is for clear skies, with
temperatures above the dew point despite ferocious humidity.
Sig's says Astronomical twilight ends at 21:25 (9:30 PM), and moonrise
isn't until 23:00, so we'll have a couple of good hours of observing.
Saturday and Sunday also look good, but Saturday i'll be out of town,
and Sunday is the 4th. Anybody up for some observing Friday night?
Jayme, would you be willing to host? Your yard is about the same
distance as Farrington, but darker.
If Jayme can't host, i'll plan on Farrington. It looks like it's
going to be a good night to pick up some stuff in Ophiuchus.
J.
PS: For anybody who hasn't seen it before, Sig's Sky Calendar is: http://www.skycalendar.com/skycal/index.html
Don't forget to set your location: you only have to do it once, but
otherwise you get the info for Norway. There's a downloadable version
for windows-compatibles, which starts much more quickly.
