In a word, not so good.
The Wunderground forecast for the Triangle area: Friday is mediocre at
best, and for Saturday is outright crummy, with thunderstorms and
80-90% cloudy in the evening. Sorry, Mickey, doesn't look good for
ECRA Saturday.
The forecast for Medoc is a little better on Friday, with only 50%
cloudy. Saturday is just as bad at Medoc as here in the Triangle.
The clear-sky chart shows basically the same prediction for the
Triangle, with Jordan Lake transparency Really Bad from 8:00 pm
through 1 in the morning on Friday.
Medoc is a little better, with an actual good transparency block
Friday at 10:00 pm, then below average for a few hours,
Might be a good weekend to stay home and maintain the equipment. If
it's not actually raining, we could go show people the moon at
Morehead's ECRA session. Based on the forecast, there won't be much
else visible...
Anybody see it differently at this point?
J.
