Jon,

I think you are about right on your assessment of the weather this weekend ... but I must be an optimist - I see the 50% clouds at Medoc as "the glass is half full" rather than empty, and I'm going to head out there tonight.   I have this itch to see wide field views of Cygnus and Sagittarius/Scorpius ... 

My optimism is based on what happened last weekend.    Similar forecasts ... but the skies at Medoc were clear (hazy, mind you, but what can you expect this time of year?)  So I will keep watching the pattern of how the showers are forming this afternoon and where the main heavy cloud bank extends, and make a final decision later today.

I'll also be watching the weather tomorrow as well.  The weather experts have gotten it wrong before ... perhaps there might be some observing possible down at Ebenezer Church Rec Area!
