Yes! I was near downtown Carrboro and dashed outside to look for it.
Very bright, passed over from 8:38-8:42 p.m. Heavens-above predicts a
few more good passes this week.
Shameless planetarium plug:
If you know any beginning skywatchers who want to learn more or you just
want to experience what we can do with our new projection system,
Morehead Planetarium has two new monthly series (attend them all or pick
and choose):
-- Starry Nights is for adults and teens; the first program is
tomorrow night (Tuesday 9/14).
-- Star Families is recommended for families with kids ages 7-12; the
first program is this Saturday morning, Sept. 18.
And we still have a few spots in our 6-week Beginning Skywatching course
for adults. Our first-ever daytime offering, starting this Wednesday,
Sept. 15, from 2-4 p.m.
