O ye of little faith! This time of year, there's a bunch of things
which are still findable (and still look pretty good) under full moon.
Double stars: Alberio; Mizar and Alcor; beta Sco, double-double;
Ras al Gethi; gamma And; gamma Del; etc.
Garnet Star (mu Cep)
Bright open clusters: M6/M7; M 11
Asterism: Coathanger
Bright globulars: M13, M22 (especially at higher powers, to
increase the background contrast)
It's true that most fuzzies won't look so good, especially the nearer
the moon you get, but we ought to be able to keep the kids busy.
