 Hello Astronomy Days Exhibitors!



I hope all of you are well!  I know that normally we would be communicating
about Astronomy Days about this time of year but we are still a few months
off from the new date (May 21-22, 2011-make sure it's on your calendar!).
Instead, I'm writing because we have a neat NASA educator workshop coming up
and I thought you (or someone you know!) might be interested!



I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and I will see you in the
spring!

*NASA Educator Trek: Space Weather Action Center*

*North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh, NC*
*Saturday, November 13, 2010*
*10 am–5 pm
Cost: $25 deposit (will be returned upon completion of workshop)*
Imagine being able to monitor the progress of an entire solar storm from the
time it erupts from our sun until it sweeps past our small planet effecting
enormous changes in our magnetic field. Now imagine being able to do all of
this from your classroom-based Space Weather Action Center (S.W.A.C.)!
Students will transform their journal data into real S.W.A.C. news reports!
We've made this phase easy by providing an adaptable SWAC script. All they
have to do is fill in the missing pieces based on the data collected in
their student journals, and produce multimedia Space Weather Action Reports.

(to be returned to you at the workshop). The form is available online at:
