[Chaos-l] Difference In Lunar Eclipse?

I thought the eclipse in Feb. 2008 was brighter red then this one. This one did seem a little darker, almost charcoal. 

  

Like you Robert, I'll have to go back to the instant replay.

I was pondering this while walking the dog this morning ... 

Was there any difference between the way the moon looked this time and during the lunar eclipses of 2007 and 2008?  I saw Neil DeGrasse Tyson on a couple of news shows saying he was interested in comparing the color ... to see if dust in the upper atmosphere from the volcanos in Iceland and Indonesia made any difference. 

I'll have to dig up the old pictures from 2008 and see if I can see any difference.   It might have been more "coppery" (more orange) this time ...
