http://nclive.org/ has archived versions of "Astronomy" and "Sky and
Telescope" available online.  The catch - you need a library card ID from a
participating NC library.

Here are the steps:

   1. Start with this login page - http://www.nclive.org/?q=loginpage&rsrc=5 -
   and follow the directions for your library
   2. Now at the top is "Publications" - click that
   3. In the second search field (the one with the "Browse" button) - enter
   the first few letters of your publication of interest ("Ast" or "Sky") -
   then click the "Browse" button.
   4. Follow the hyperlink to your publication ("Astronomy", or "Sky and
   Telescope").

Now on the right, you can browse all issues by year.
Or
Search for anything within the publication for all archived years.  I
suggest using "Advanced Search" or "Visual Search".

A shortcut for *once you are logged in*, is that you can skip right to your
publications link:


   - Astronomy -

   - Sky and Telescope -

Astronomy is text only - S&T has full PDF image/graphics.

What is also cool

   - if you create a login, you can create an email alert for whenever a new
   article in the magazine is available
   - use RSS to be alerted to new articles
   - there are tons of other well known publications available (Consumer
   Reports, etc.)
