[Chaos-l] you heard it first at a CHAOS meeting

For those of you who don't get Sky and Telescope or who haven't opened the
Feb. issue yet, the lead article is a recap of the presentation at the Dec.
CHAOS meeting about the huge coronal mass ejection (think "solar flare") in
1859 that shut down the worldwide telegraph network and how a similar event
could "fry" our worldwide electrical system in the future.  Seems to be a
very timely topic and those of you at the last CHAOS meeting were "a step
ahead," as usual.  Thanks, Jayme, for keeping us well informed - or at least
giving us something else to worry about!  Walter
