[Chaos-l] Tripod blinkers

I've got some new binoculars and I don't want these to go the way of my last pair - broken when the tripod was tipped by cavorting third graders.

Does anyone have a suggestion for where to find and what kind of red LED blinkers I could get for the tripod legs?
Any other ideas?
