Yeah, I answered phones last Sunday evening and took pledges for close to $1000. I sat

next to a lady and quickly became good friends. We laughed the entire night and had a grand

time.

I can vouch for the fun part, especially if you're with a friend. I've answered phones there before with a friend and we would have a contest to see who received the most calls or the most money. And when you see the camera pan your way when you're taking a call it's fun to sit up straight, smile and act like a television personality.  : )

Well this is the weekend for the park and well, we'll see. Tonight may be our best night.

Please let me know if you are planning on coming up so that I can watch for you.

Also, this is a reminder that our monthly meeting has been pushed back a week due to

a conflict with a Carol Woods event. So our meeting will be held on March 15th at 7pm.

Information about our speaker, Amanda Moffett, is on the Club Calendar.

Seeing that we are not having a club meeting on the 8th, UNC-TV is need of volunteers to

answer phone for Festival. This is a lot of fun and you are fed some really good food.

That's right, we feed you.

Training of how to take the calls begins around 6pm and the shift starts at 7 and ends

at 11. You don't have to stay the entire shift, but as long as you can.

UNC-TV is located in RTP next to Glaxo/Smith Kline on Alexander Dr. The address

is 10 TW Alexander Dr.

It is truly a lot of fun and it helps to support our local PBS station. Let me know if

you are interested. Spouses and children that are 16 are welcome. We can put up a sign if we

can get 20 people.

Let me know if you are interested
