Michael, as any golfer or picnicker can tell you, the best way to bring 
rain/bad weather is to plan an outdoor activity.
You are doomed!  BAH   HAH   HAH.
BTW, the solar panel array is a very laudable, "Green" action.
  It's usually the upfront cost that dissuades many people but the 
ultimate payback, including selling electricity to your utility an 
company, can be quite rewarding!
