I know that we gave this advice to Michael C. because he was thinking of a 4.5 “ GOTO or similar, but he has always been thankful he got aperture over technology. allen

I would definitely pick aperture (the size of the opening on the scope) over the goto capability.  You are going to be limited in what you can see with the 130 SLT.   And believe it or not, the 130 will be harder to setup.  I would choose either the Zhumell or Orion 8" Dob ... and I would lean towards the Zhumell.

What about celestron nextar 310 slt? Someone is recommending this one to me and it's lightweight and will guide us to the sky....
