Well, Friday at Medoc was really great. As I said before, we had a good
group and 7 scopes, and it was a really clear and transparent night. Got to
be around 400am Sat.

Then I got up around 900am and got myself together, and left for Coinjock
about 1230 or so. Got there around 330pm. Was able to see Kent and other
old friends from the Back Bay Club..and was very pleased to visit with my
friend Melissa Thorner from WV (with faithful canine sidekick Starbucks),
Jim Browder from Richmond, and our own Ian Stewart was there too! Robert
Nielsen, who was staying in Elizabeth City ..he and Beth rode bikes
Saturday...came about 800pm and stayed a good while. Always good company.

We were able to enjoy Saturn, as the seeing did settle down somewhat, and we
enjoyed the grouping of Saturn's moons as reported by Jim Pressley.

But the globs were the real showcase..we were routinely using 318x and 423x
and they were sharp! I even put in the 3.7 Ethos at 686x and the stars were
still focusing. Pretty spectacular.

Now for a nap. allen
