[Chaos-l] Oh well

The weather hasn't cooperated much the last few days, but of course the moon
has been big and bright.  Of course with Saturn really putting on a show
lately, that doesn't mean much.  I wanted to set up my refractor this week,
but for whatever reason I haven't been able to do that.

 

Hopefully one night this weekend, but the forecast looks iffy.  

 

Can't complain...I have seen some really great views over the last view
weeks.  The globulars were really something at the East Coast Star Party,
and Saturn as well.  Saturn was also really super at Medoc the last visit
there.I believe the Monday following East Coast Star Party..a couple of
weeks ago.  Sometimes the good seeing in the summer can make up for bad
transparency with the planets.    Some of the campers at Medoc that last
time literally wondered if I was "fooling them" with generated images.

 

Is anyone going to the Green Bank Star Quest at the end of the month?  I
really doubt I can go, but I was curious is anyone is considering it.  allen
