Hi Fred,
By all accounts that is an excellent scope. It is hard to beat the price,
and I remember that Sky and Telescope rated it a hot product at about twice
that price. I have been debating about a new equatorial mount, and I admit,
I am leaning towards the CG-5 like Matt. Mostly because I like what I hear
of the Celestron polar alignment software. I would love to hear your
experiences with the Sirius once you are set up. I have bought eye pieces
from Astronomics, and they were very friendly and the stuff came fast.
Cloudy Nights is a great info source. While it is owned by Astronomics, I
have never noticed any bias towards them by the posters. People are quick
to point out both positive and negative experiences with all the vendors, as
well as post when one vendor has sale items.
Congrats on your new gear, you should be able to enjoy it for years. No
buyer's remorse, just let us know when it is supposed to arrive so we can
all prepare for the clouds and usual rain that comes with buying new gear.
