And heck!  I forget that we are getting Jupiter back!  That will be
something to try a bit later.  GSR transit at 1.37 am.  Some moon activity
but around midnight.which may be too low to see, and then after 300am, which
I am not sure I would make.  But it is something to consider...seeing
supposed to be good.transparency bad.but sometimes the best planetary views
are in those "dog day conditions". allen

I am going to medoc this evening for a while...Michael and Jason have
indicated an interest in going...I hope to catch Saturn...it is leaving us
very quickly now.  And of course the moon is about a day before full I
believe.

 

Just an excuse to get out.  But not a great night for anyone to travel to do
it I must admit.  Just keeping folks informed.  Will probably just set up
the Genesis or maybe the Tak if I just want to play with the polar
alignment.

 

Depends on cloud cover.

 

Anyone getting smoke from the wildfire in Va.  Some here.  allen
