[Chaos-l] Last night

Had a very nice night once again at Medoc.  John Miller was there, and
Michael Camp and his daughter Ashley came for a while.  The skies were
covered with oddly shaped high clouds for a while, but it gradually cleared
and was really beautiful after.  I left around midnight but I know that John
observed for a while longer.  How was it after I left John?

 

The Milky Way was very very bright and stood out nicely.  We cruised the
Veil, as usual, and it looked great through both our scopes.  (Obession and
Zhumell)  On John's suggestion we looked at NGC 404 in Andromeda, Mirach's
Ghost.  And also NGC 1 and 2, which were rather dim and small.  But they
were 1 and 2 so it was worth it!

 

Looked at the barred spiral once again..ngc 7479...nice

 

Hoping to get out some more the next two or three days.  We'll watch the
weather..looks like Friday and Saturday may have a little more moisture
around..we'll see what happens but I am still planning to go Friday and/or
Saturday.  Stay tuned!  allen
