[Chaos-l] Observing

I am still planning to try and observe tonight and/or tomorrow.  Right now I
will go tonight unless the weather takes a decided down turn.  There is no
real way to tell I don't think, what would be the "best" night this weekend.
It is up in the air..I think it safe to say that it won't be as clear or as
wonderful as the last few nights.  

 

But given that we have a depression in the Gulf and possibly another storm
that could approach next week, I am going to try and take advantage of the
weekend and I am planning to go to Medoc tonight and even tomorrow if anyone
wishes to come.

 

I know that a few folks had expressed interest.

 

Would any of you please let me know what your thoughts are and if you are
thinking about coming Friday night and/or Saturday.or even Sunday?  As I
said, I may plan to spend some time up there this weekend, and might would
actually stay most or all of the night at least one night.  It looks like
tonight for instance, that the skies might be best after midnight, and that
might be good as Jupiter will be getting higher, and the moon will be
totally gone.  Still not a big moon, but it will begin to encroach after the
weekend.  

 

So I am willing to make the best of the situation and if anyone wants to get
out at the park and camp, and hope for the best...let me know!  I can try to
make the most of it!  I am hoping that Katia will veer away from here.  We
don't want anymore storms here.  allen
