The last time I saw it was about a week ago.  It was the brightest object in  
the field near the galaxy even then.

I haven't seen the M101 supernova yet, so I'm tempted to go out and try to  
spot it... it's supposed to be at it's brightest today/tomorrow, so maybe  
it'll be visible in spite of the moon being out?
