As a caveat, I was using my 20" !...so a couple of those dim stars forming a
triangle may be dim in a smaller scope, or invisible, but the supernova is
on the opposite side of the star near the core. If you find the galaxy in
these light polluted skies (Moon polluted I mean) I don't think you'll have
any problem identifying the sn. It will be the brightest thing there.

I am sure you have a good chart, but his was on the stargazer's
lounge.....and it simplifies it. There is a relatively bright store near
the core of the galaxy, and the supernova is across the center of the galaxy
on the other side. You will see that it is the point of a triangle pointing
toward the center. allen
