[Chaos-l] lub Picnic

Well if you missed the club picnic, you missed some good food and some good 

observing. 

  

We had 13 folks come out to Little River Park to enjoy some North Carolina bar-b-q, 

chicken, baked beans, potato salad and of course banana pudding. Yummm yumm. :-P 

I need to thanks my wife Jayne for coming up with the menu. She did a fantasic job. 

  

The good food was followed with some decent observing afterwards. We looked at the moon and got 

faint looks at some deep sky objects. Their being faint because of the moon of course. Here I want 

to thank the park ranger Mike DiFabio for allowing us to stay a little later to observe. 

  

If you missed it this year, hopefully you can make it next year. We always eat very well. 

  

Don't miss Staunton River, October 22 to the 25th. The fee is $20 to enjoy observing with 

fellow astronomers and see some nice dark skies.
