It's that way here also.. The skies were exceptional.. the milky way was as pronounced as I can remember.. and between 11pm and 1:30am, skies were very very steady.. Jupiter was very nice in my refractor at all magnifications. 

At times, I could count 4 to 5 of those tiny thin bands that are so hard to see ..located between the main equatorial bands and the poles.

Dense fog rolled in shortly after 1:30am, so I called it a night.

Well, if you were at the CHAOS star party at Staunton River SP right now,  
ou would be looking at a mag 6+ sky with no clouds ... none.
