We also helped out a bit with some Boy Scouts who came in .it is always bad
when you can't show something in the sky, but we talked about
telescopes..and answered questions.  Also Mike gave another program for them
that evening.  Robert was able to "simulate" the sky with his IPAD running
sky safari.  

 

Did the best we could.


OH yeah.when you do go pack some heavy duty DEET spray ..  The mosquitoes
were like birds and hungry....the most ferocious I have ever seen them.I had
to spray more often than usual and I think they still stocked up on O Neg
from me.  I don't usually seem to have a big problem with mosquitoes, but
this time they were waiting.  But their days are numbered.  Till next year!
Just be prepared.it was the only real aggravation for me.everything else was
very positive.  I need to retry some of the heavy duty repellant that I have
backpacked in years past that really WORKED.  Uncle Ben's I think?

 

The park really does possess the desire and the infrastructure to host a big
event, so I wish Jayme well with getting that going.  allen
