For those who might be interested. I'll be going. And then the MASP is
supposed to start on Oct 24th. I am probably going to try to get to the
MASP toward the beginning IF possible, and then I will have to go home
midweek and then come back again. All depending upon how the weather shapes
up as to which nights I may go home.
But as far as forecasts, the last two weekend have proven once again that
you can't allow a bad forecast to tell you it's going to be bad. Sat the
17th it cleared at Goochland, and this past weekend at Staunton River we had
some glorious skies Friday night. I'm hoping October may be a little more
stable as far as the weather patterns. Sept has been rather strange. But
as Robert Nielsen and I discussed recently, we have really had some
excellent skies, quite often this summer, at Medoc and elsewhere. It is
human nature I think to remember the bad weather, but we have had quite a
lot of good for especially for summer observing.
So I am planning to attend both of these if possible. allen
