Had quite a contingent, as Kent Blackwell put it, from around here. Thanks
to Michael Hrivnak, Mark Lerch, Jim Palermo, Jim Elliot and Jenna, Bruno,
Tony and Carolyn, and Jason for making up the "local group". Kent was
impressed I can tell you.

It was terrific seeing old friends again. We experienced some of the best
viewing I have seen from the ECSP location in a while. It was terrific
Friday night, and there was a little more haze Saturday, although there were
moments of transparency Saturday that were excellent. I set up both my
scopes, something I usually do only at events, and it was worth it.

We had a lot of visitors who were inquisitive and excited. All ages.
Asking very good questions. I really enjoyed using Sky Safari on my Mac..it
is so easy to use and dead on with the GOTO's. Loaded with information about
so many objects. Really just a pleasure to use this new tool.

Roy and Dee offered up the spaghetti dinner once again on Friday evening,
and that and the salad were terrific. And her desserts were truly
wonderful. Glazed pound cake and citrus vodka cake.....mmmmm.

The cookout on Saturday was the usual feast, and one of the highlights for
me was Greta's ( of Jeff and Greta, Camera Concepts) "Paprika Chicken." Very
spicy and very good!

This is one star party where the party is much in evidence and we had it all
this weekend. I am really glad so many folks with whom I observe regularly
decided to go. Everyone shared with the folks who came through and it was
great!

It was great to see and talk with Michell Shinn.what a sweet lady and a very
interesting conversation.

Jeff and Greta say they will be at the MASP toward the end of the week,
after they return from Chiefland.

And I look forward to seeing you folks at the MASP hopefully starting
tomorrow!
