[Chaos-l] FW: [TeleVue] Lunar X tomorrow night!

Not sure about some of the predictions I've seen for the Lunar X being
visible tomorrow night. My understanding is that this is only visible for 4
hours prior to the moon reaching first quarter. According to the US Naval
Observatory, that occurs tomorrow about 12:30pm when the moon is about 10
degrees below the horizon, in broad daylight.  Similar story for the next
first quarter on Dec 2.

That same USNO data puts the X very visble on New Years eve though:

First quarter is at 1:15 a.m. Jan 1, 2012 about an hour after moonset.
 That puts it visible from shortly after 9pm to shortly before midnight
