It was cool for all the reasons Jame mentioned. Actually, durn cold, but
the sky was so beautiful !!
That evening was a neat connection for me with the Milky Way. All my
memories of it have the M.W. running from high overhead (Cygnus) south to
Sagittarius. Guess I am usually a summer star gazer!
But Thursday in Efland, one could face North, while the the Milky Way
arched gloriously from Auila in the west, then high, almost overhead, past
Cygnus to Cassiopeia, then on to the East, through Perseus. One could
stretch out the left hand toward the galaxy center and the right, heading
radially outward.
