The IMAX theater at the Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh has a
monthly event where they offer a movie, cocktails, and food.  They
call this Martinis to the Max. This January the film is the Hubble 3D
IMAX feature. I've seen the movie before (at the Kennedy Space Center)
and it's incredible, especially in this large format.  In addition to
the IMAX footage shot aboard the space shuttle on servicing missions,
there are breathtaking flythroughs of the Orion and Eagle nebulae
based on Hubble data by Dr. Frank Summers at the Space Telescope
Science Institute at John Hopkins University in Baltimore.

They have offered CHAOS members a discount of $2 of the normal price
of $20.   This price includes admission to the movie, food from
Irregardless Cafe, and 1 cocktail (a cash bar is available beyond
that),

This event is on Thursday, January 12th and starts at 5:30 pm.  The
movie will start at 7 pm. The event is restricted to those 21 years
and older (no minors permitted).

More information on the movie and the trailer is here:

If you are interested in going, please drop me an email directly so
that I can pass that on to Marbles.
