It's kind of cool to think that the Morehead Planetarium building actually
houses an observatory with a fairly large aperture scope. When we went to
the planetarium as schoolkids we all figured that those big domes on top of
the building were like those at Palomar and Mt Wilson, then as college
students we thought the dome was the planetarium dome itself poking through
the roof. We were right as little kids! If you haven't been on top of the
building in the observatory you should come check it out. It's the true
"Top of the Hill." See you there! Walter
