Hi all. Phil, Xun, and i did in fact make it out to Farrington
tonight. Conditions were excellent, beautifully clear, highly
transparent. The stars and planets were coming out well before the
sky started to "properly" darken. Once Polaris was visible, i was
able to align the ETX quickly and easily using the new screweye finder
i built yesterday (i'll try to post a picture tomorrow), and picked up
the two double stars i needed early on. Phil and Xun were tracking
stuff down in Phil's 10" Meade SCT.

We basically did that until the moon was well up, then looked at it
through the trees (lovely orangey-yellow color).

All in all a very nice night. Phil, Xun, thanks for coming out.

J.
