[Chaos-l] Scout program this weekend

As usual the weather has us on pins and needles.  There appears a bit of
hope this morning for Friday night according to WRAL, at least before
midnight.  

 

I am planning to show up.  I talked to Randy Vaughn yesterday.and the scouts
will be there regardless, and if need be we'll at least have a talk or
demonstration about telescopes under the shelter etc.  

 

I of course can't blame anyone for not travelling far with bad weather.  But
I will be there and if anyone can come it is much appreciated.  We'll see
how the weather develops.  I haven't given up on at least seeing Mars or
Saturn and of course Venus.  And the moon.  allen
