  Dear CHAOS members,

Does anyone have any memorable experiences from the 2004 transit
of Venus that they'd be willing to share with a science reporter from the
News and Observer?

I'm working on a freelance article for the newspaper's Science and 
Technology
page about the upcoming 2012 transit of Venus. I'm interested in stories 
from
astronomers in North and South Carolina about expeditions they led, 
trips they
took, or lengths they went to to see the 2004 transit. If you have a 
story to share
